Ever Thought of Being on Wood Badge Staff?

If you have please check out the information here.

Welcome to Wood Badge in the BAC

In conjunction with the Northeast Region of the Boy Scouts of America, the Baltimore Area Council has been proud to host a course for the premier adult training experience that the program has to offer. A course has been held, usually in the fall, every year since 1969. For the upcoming scout year, 2011-12, the council will host two courses. N6-220-11-1 in the fall and N6-220-12-1 in the spring of 2012. We look forward to building on the great traditions of Wood Badge training in the council

Congratulations to NE VI-80

The Baltimore Area Council has 38 newly trained leaders to deliver the promise. Congratulations are in order for Vance Kovach and his staff and particularly to the 38 scouters who will now carry on the grand tradition of Woodbadge.

What is Wood Badge all About?

The purpose of the Wood Badge experience is to strengthen Scouting in our units, our District and our Councils.  The Wood Badge "ticket" represents each Participants commitment to complete a set of personal goals relating to that individual's Scouting position.  These goals will significantly strengthen the program in which the Participant is involved. In addition, the Ticket gives participants an opportunity to practice and demonstrate a working knowledge of the leadership skills presented during the course.  Participants should complete their Wood Badge ticket no later than 18 months after the course.
